Journal Entry 3 (One Page Design)
Project A » Devlog
Date: 9.3.2022
Activity: One Page Design
Invested time:
- Watching pre-recorded lecture: 30 minutes
- One page design: 3 h 30 min
Reasoning: I made the level vertical so that it is clearly separated into isolated parts (floors) and it also feels like climbing a tower, bringing a sense of progress. I reused some mechanics from previous Journal Entry (creating 2 levels). These include: using Spitters as an unkillable hazard, a pressure plate that gets rid of this hazard, a pressure plate that reacts only to a pushable box (for a simple puzzle). The separation of these aforementioned parts is also achieved by a new mechanic - opening doors automatically after all specified enemies are killed.
